
About Rose Alcido
Inspired by an aunt who saw Rose's instinctive healing gift, Rose studied to become a doctor. She grew up in the Southern part of the Philippines where her mother and grandmother exposed her to herbal teas, bentusas, massages, herbal tinctures, body treatments, soaps and natural cures for the common aches and pains.
Endowed with the knowledge of these aged wisdom, her interest in the healing art grew when, after 6 years of medical school, in 1979, she travelled to Europe, lived in London for 4 years, experienced the different cultural healing practices all over the world thru her travels to France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Southeast Asia. These travels inspired her to look back at what she already knew from her grandmother, a well-known "hilot", a naturalist because she concocts her own brew and oils, a "madrona" -she assist women gave birth naturally, one she assisted was the mother who gave birth to one who became an Ambassador to Washington. Rose used to listen to her grandmother's tales of "natures gifts to this world". She knew then that she has her grandmother's healing gift. In one of your "sessions" with Rose, she may divulge her "prophetic gift". Who knows?
When she came to the United States in 1984, she knew what she really wanted, having studied product manufacturing and research and development. SKIN CARE became a passion. Because of her medical background, she easily understood her forte and became a board certified aesthetician.
After seven years of extensive study into all field of aesthetics, medical and cosmetics, Marcia Kilgore invited her to join Let's Face It, now Bliss Spa. The two worked together until she opened her own private studio in 1994 and became New York's best-kept secret among magazine editors, models, actors and top corporate executives who became her loyal supporters.
Having consulted and worked with two top plastic surgeons at the famous NYU Medical Center doing medical peels, microdermabasion and epidermal planing, Rose developed her signature aesthetic treatments. With extensive background in research and development, she has developed her brand ROSE ALCIDO, an antiaging choice of highly concentrated treatment serums. The answer to a prayer miracle bottle serum, I'LL NEVER TELL, developed with the expertise of a team of biochemists and scientists for almost two years, is her moi miracle.
Rose does not give regular facials. Armed with her holistic background and "super aesthetic hands and eye", she is famous for her acne and antiaging protocols. Every facial is different.
